Thanks for offering context.  Most modern and postmodern philosophical teaching is rather "evangelical" in its atheism!  "You cannot be a student here unless you forget this silly thing called 'Christianity'."  In actuality, one cannot be a good philosopher unless one has a good comprehension of Christian truth and knowing.  I teach, first, Christian Theology (revealed Truth)... second, the natural and physical sciences (the creation) including 'discovery method'... third, the Great Books (the liberal arts and humanities)... Here is genuine "education."

This ( roughly) would be the Biography/insight into John Locke not found int the recording of the audiobook.Which helps me, a reader of the John Locke book "A letter concerning toleration", see how many Christians today, really are.

Can anybody explain to me the issue with God in John locke's theory of rights if you're an atheist what happens to the theory? He talks of the world that 'God has given to us richly'. He denies divine right of course, but seems to support equality with God as the source. Is this correct?
