I lived in Salamanca and Zaragoza, and I would pick Zaragoza every time. Zaragoza is perfect in every way: people, connections with other cities, prices, quality of life...

HAVE working all over Europe and Asia, travelled as well, but there is no place like Spain, Nice friendly people, nice healthy food, Beautiful cities and villages, architecture everywhere, safe, endless sunshine, spotless clean everywhere you look .. Simply love it ❤❤🎈🎈

You left out a few things: Zaragoza is windy, Salamanca cold and Coruña is very wet

It doesn’t have to be a city. Have a look at the Alpujarra in Andalucía. Comfortable temperatures, off the beaten track, close to Granada and to the Costa Tropical. I live here and I love it.

Zaragoza, Salamanca, A Coruña, Santiago de Campostela, and Ronda.

Thanks for these. I have been to only one of them: Ronda. I remember that huge gorge, around which it is built.

Had no idea it was so affordable. Even cheaper than some areas of Mexico I’ve looked at. Great video!

You left off Gandia! It's an excellent choice. An hour south of Valencia with a direct train between the cities. Nearby Playa de Gandia with 7 km of sandy, gorgeous, Blue Flag beach, affordable, good infrastructure, very safe, very walkable, and still a lovely Spanish city not overrun with tourists or expats.

Last December I took a roadtrip in Galicia which is my ancestral home. I found prices in the cities mentioned in this video very high, even for ruins. I wound up buying in Sevilla which is much more affordable.

All the towns you have mentioned are wonderful. A Coruña & Compostela are beautiful, just remember that winters are cool and rainy however the food is phenomenal. Salamanca and Zaragoza are beautiful larger cities that have great ambiances and great for foodies. Ronda, is gorgeous, look into Vejer de la Frontera.

Thanks for the info. I am putting together a 4-week driving trip around Spain and will now include a couple of those cities.

I love the mountains so for me Asturias is the best! Not to mention the food in Asturias

Remember folks, places like Santiago de Compostella and A Caruna are wet and chilly, much like the coasts of Oregon and Washington for many months of the year, and it is seldom that warm.

Orson Wells had his ashes buried in Ronda, he had a Lifelong Love of Ronda and a big Fan of Bull Fighting . A famous song 'Noche De Ronda'.
