in my opinion both are good. i have ipad pro m1 and when i see regular ipad or samsung tab, i feel like i wasted my money. but i use the ipad pro m1 for video editing and its fast, so that gives me relief. aside that, most of the features on the ipad pro not really worth it, regular ipad or this samsung tab is good for most users.
tbh i was alittle dissapointed with the ipad pro because reviewers overhyped it. i had too high hopes. my 50 usd speaker is way better, and the screen isnt really very bright for outdoor. this was my first ipad pro and i was disappointed, but still like it because of video editing. i still believe its a better deal than buying similarly priced phones tho.

I only use a tablet when I'm traveling and need to watch movies/shows (with ANC headphones on) - so i think the tab A8 should do just fine.

I had a budget Galaxy Tab a 10.1 and I was considering buying this A8, but you kinda refreshed my memory on why it annoyed me so much: it was slow, laggy. Seeing how the Tab A8 suffers from the same issue, I would def go for the iPad. I wish I could afford the more expensive Galaxy Tabs, but hey I have to stay within my budget. Thanks for the review!

Long story short: if you want a gaming tablet on a budget, go for the iPad 9. It's going to play pretty much every game smoothly for years.

In my country the wi-fi versions of the A8 and ipad 9 are both priced OK, but the ipad 9 suddenly cost almost double here if I want LTE/4G feature, which I need. I wish there was a way to get around that :( A cheap adapter perhaps? Probably awful to carry around though.

I am a solid Android fan when it comes to my phones. But as great as the Tab A8 is, I still prefer the iPad 9 simply because of stylus support and Procreate.

In India, the price difference between base model of A8 and IPad 9 is over $100. Makes choosing one pretty difficult.

Got a 64g iPad 9th gen for 269 on black Friday, and an a8 32g for 139 on cyber Monday. Build quality of the a8 really impressed me, but it's alot slower. Front video is way better on iPad as well.

I got a A8 tablet yesterday and im really happy. I mainly only play rocket league sideswipe and cod mobile and it runs both at a solod 60fps. So im happy. Its thin, aluminium built, feels premium. Has 4 speakers with atmos which is cool and still has headphone jack. I didmt even consider an ipad tbh, but either way im satisfied with the A8 Tab for the vost of 475. NZ$. Which is rather cheap for what ya get tbh
