At 2:10, it would have been very helpful to the viewers, and it would have taken very little time, if the presenter showed an example of what the 2x2 matrix \sigma^(t)_i looks like. Since it is a measurement outcome for qubits, is it a matrix with zeros everywhere except a 1 in the (0, 0) position, or a 1 in the (1, 1) position (my initial guess)? This slide almost looks like it makes sense, but some elements were just presented opaquely, might be because the presenter is inexperienced teaching to a non-specialized audience. The question towards the end of the video alluded to a related issue.
