Hi. Welcome to the Twitch Dry Needling video training series where I'll show you a fantastic dry needling technique followed by a manual therapy technique to get great results for your patients every time.
These Dry Needling Techniques should only be applied by trained therapists who have completed an accredited course.

Okay, what do you think about when you've got someone with lateral elbow pain? Three things you're going to probably think about are the supinator, brachioradialis and the extensors to the wrist and fingers. But one muscle that you should add to that list is biceps. Why? Well two reasons. One, it inserts in the radial tuberosity, great for radiohumeral joint pain and the myofascial trigger point referrals in the biceps go into the lateral elbow. So needling biceps, very straightforward. In the side-lying position or of course you can do it when the patient is supine but we'll just do it here while we've got a patient in this side-lying position. Look at that twitch, nice. Okay, great, now, follow-up manual therapy technique.
Just lie on your back for me. To make that dry needling technique to the biceps really effective, we going to add some PA glide of that radiohumeral joint. Contact point right over that radial head. Just in here, perfect. That's going to be great as a stretch for the biceps after you've needled it for anyone with lateral elbow pain.
