This is an alternate opening since it has Maleficent in it. If it was an alternate Ending, it would have taken place after Maleficent is defeated by Phillip and the good fairies.

This was so much closer to Perrault's original tale.
One thing(the only thing)I do not like about the princesses movies is that they change the original material so much...instead they put animal scenes...Cinderella is the closest of the princesses to remain faithful to her original tale, but even in that Jack and Gus steal the most time...similar to the fairies in sleeping beauty and the animals in Snow White.
They should have invested in more scenes with the villains and their love interests.
