The black edition also came in white in the US. Nissan called it the Spec V instead of black with the 2012 model

Exactly what I was thinking. A better race for these two cars would be a mile-long drag, or a few track times, all done by the same driver. I believe that's the best way to truly compare these cars.

Read what I said. I never claimed the GTR was a Skyline. I stated the Infiniti G models are called Skylines in Japan and other parts of the world to what Soldier mentioned about his 370GT

The change wouldn't really be noticed in an all-out sprint. The change however would definitely be noticed on exits from the corner...it would look just like you said. You would ask, "Why does the 2012 wait for the 2013 to exit?" BUT, he won't be waiting.

2013 model for US is the 2012 model for Europe, so a lot of guys already have their hands on some of them.

There have been other performance related improvements that make the difference. i.e longevity of transmission has been improved. Handling has been improved (if that is possible). HP improvement is negligable because of cobb tuning. i.e you can increase HP for 1000 bucks up by another 54 Hp very very easily. And you are right, that launch blows because the 2012 driver was probably still in shock looking at the fact that he is in a GTR!

id like to see a good driver in the 2012 and to be honest they only did some suspension tuning in the 2014 gtr so they would be practically even
