Explaining Onslaught Spawns: Make Legend Onslaught SO Much Easier!

This Advice Makes Onslaught SO Much Easier!

My Information:

Today, it’s expected that Bungie is going to make some changes to Onslaught, making it more worthwhile to run Level 50 runs rather than Level 10 reset runs. These changes include guaranteeing two more weapon drops upon completion of a Level 50 run, and increasing the number of trophies of bravery received from waves 30, 40 and 50 on legend. This video is going to give you some insight to make farming Level 50 Onslaughts less painful, focusing on information on augment spawns, and general ad spawns. If you enjoyed the video don’t forget to subscribe to show you’d like more Onslaught videos!

So for the purposes of this video, I’m going to be referring to Midtown, as I believe it is the most common map that people choose for farming. I will make one for Vostok to post tomorrow/wednesday, however I will NOT make one for Mothyards as no one is going to be farming on that map.
So Midtown has 3 ADU spawns, and each ADU spawn has three potential enemy spawn points, and each of those spawn points has 3 “vestige zones” which is basically a location where enemies spawn.
Let’s start with the first ADU spawn you will encounter in Midtown, which is basically the C flag in PvP. This ADU spawn has three enemy spawns, the first one is to the left. One group of enemies will spawn in the tiny cubby to the left, while the other two will spawn by the B flag. The second spawn is in the middle, where one group spawns a bit to the left, while the other two spawn straight ahead. The third spawn is on the right, which is all bundled together and is definitely the easiest spawn to deal with. During the augment waves, you are GUARANTEED to get that left spawn. So if you have someone running tether, which I highly recommend, if you are at this ADU, waves 3 and 9 will ALWAYS have their enemies spawn on this left side, which means you can pre-place a tether to suppress enemies and then deal with the augment.
The second ADU spawn we will look at is the B flag in PvP. This ADU spawn also has three enemy spawns. The first is to the right. These spawns are a bit erratic, but they all spawn in the cubbies to the right of the long hallway. The second spawn is the middle, two of which are on the left, and one of which is on the right. This spawn is a bit awkward, because the enemies can split and go the long ways around, making this the most annoying spawn for this ADU spawn. The third spawn is on the left, two of which are in this little garden area, and the other is just down the stairs. This is definitely the easiest spawn to deal with, as you can just tether inside the garden area. During the augment wave, you are GUARANTEED to get that right spawn. So same thing, you can pre-place a tether if you wish.
The third ADU spawn is the A flag in PvP, and this is by far the worst ADU spawn on this map. The first enemy spawn is to the left, two of which will spawn behind the building, and the other spawns inside the buildings to the right. The second enemy spawn is the middle, two of which spawn up by the garden area, and the third spawns to the just before the stairs leading to the garden. The third enemy spawn is way off to the right. Two of the three zones are on the far right, while the other is spawn is just up the stairs. During the augment waves, you are GUARANTEED to get that left spawn.

So now that we’ve discussed the spawns, let’s discuss enemy trends. So the main thing here that you should know is that the enemy type you are going to deal with is consistent for rounds 20-50, and those depend on what enemies you had during waves 1-10. What I mean by this is if on Wave 2 you had Cursed Thrall, on waves 12, 22, 32, and 42 you will also have cursed thrall. If on Wave 9 you had ogres, on waves 19, 29, 39, and 49 you will also get ogres, this means that you should be aware what enemies you’re going to be dealing with when you’re dealing with an augment.

Last thing is about the augments in general. There are six augments in Onslaught, which are: Tormentor, Demolitionists, Shielded Demolitionists, Mines, Skybombers, and Shielded Skybomber. You are guaranteed to see all six of these augments during your first six augment rounds. This means that if you got Tormentor on Round 3, you will NOT see Tormentor again until at the earliest Round 33. Additionally, this means if you are about to enter Round 29 and you have not yet dealt with Skybombers, you are guaranteed to get Skybombers as that augment. The last four augments you deal with are just randomly picked from the six augments, with the stipulation that an augment cannot occur more than twice in a single run.

“I won’t be making one for mouthyards because no one farms that” not with that attitude.

Definitely good info for some people because they still think it’s more random than it is.

Truthfully, people’s biggest problems are how passive they play. Looked like you were playing solo, although I didn’t watch the gameplay that closely, and you are straight up chilling and just Ghjallahorn-ing with no hesitation often. You can easily build craft a team where you have infinite ammo, but people still hold on to their heavy like they’ll never get another brick again.

Oh are they only increasing the weapon drops on completing Legend wave 50, not the normal one? That's disappointing. Good info in this video though

Thanks for the tips. ADD is a real bitch trying to remember what spawned when. Next thing you know I'm looking at my glaive and a a wave of exploders and regretting my decisions.
