Mine had a lot more screws to remove, before I got close to the hard drive. I literally used a crowbar to past some of the surroundings of the hard drive. Finally got it out when I had BOTH sides off the thing, in order to see a screw on the underside that was not allowing it to slide out. At least this video showed me it is possible.

Thank you thank you thank you! I've been trying to figure this out for an hour and other videos were different from what I have. I bought an external case to try and get some old pictures of my kids off the drive, since for some reason the computer doesn't work anymore. It's a very old windows 95 Frontier Systems, only has 3, 512mb for ram lol. And the refurbished computer store, where I got it put the XP on it when XP first came out.
Of course after I finally removed it, I discovered the external case I bought, has different connectors, Uhgg!
