The Solo Player | Board Gamer Stereotypes

Some of us just can't get together a group for board game night one too many times... but no problem, because solo tabletop experiences are just as good! Board games will never run too long, there's plenty of automa's included with games, and even with a 2 player minimum, just play 2 headed. Plus you can leave your big campaign games setup all the time and never have to take them down. Solo mode tabletop board games are basically just better puzzles, there's just so much more theme, rules, and gameplay to be had! It would be nice to eventually get a group together though... No problem, there's like-minded groups of solo board gamers online that make their own guilds (one player guild on BGG) for discussions, recommendations, and even fan made solo modes!

I won't touch anything without a solo mode as it feels like a waste of money and space if you can't get a play-group together frequently, especially living where there's constant lockdowns.

I’m personally in that category and will never say no to a game night, often dropping more important things (homework, sleep, chores, ect) to make sure I get that extra game in! Regardless of what I’m doing if you ask the answer is always “I’m free! Let’s do it!” 😂

Honestly, Pandemic IS a solo player game, in my opinion. At least, that’s the way it always ends up, with the most knowledgeable person convincing the others to the most optimal move. At least, that’s been my experience with it.

Actaully on One Stop Co-op Shop they have amazing solo playthrough for SW Rebellion. It actually is very good fan made variant.
