How To Unlock Cooking | Animal Crossing New Horizons

In this video, I show you how to unlock the cooking feature for you Animal Crossing New Horizons island. Many of you have told me during livestreams and in YouTube comments that you don't see the option to unlock cooking. So in this video, I go over EVERYTHING you need to fix this issue and troubleshoot your problems.

If you can't unlock cooking, be sure you have all 10 villagers moved onto your island.

steps taken for anyone struggling
1) 8 villagers on island
2) 3-Stars island eval
3) interacted with stove item in lazy villagers house to get "i could cook here dialogue" (probably unnecessary)
4) k.k performance
5) day after kk performance: recipes unlocked

I still can't unlock cooking. I have done everything that was required. I have the 2 04 version. I have the three stars, KK has visited and performed for the first time, upgraded resident services, completed the customization workshops. While KK was performing the end credits were rolling on the side. What more do I have to do. I really need help with this. I am starting to think cooking doesn't exist.

Thank you so much!💗 I have been struggling to get cooking because all of the tutorial videos I watched just said this "you must have resident services building to do this so go to the nook stop and look you will find it!" and I have the building and it didn't work so I found this I knew that it was bc I didn't have KK. 2 years later i hella appreciate it! I bought the upgraded app and couldn't figure out why i couldn't cook with my work bench, i didn't realize i needed a stove!😂

I have done all of these steps and have the updated version of the game but still can’t cook. Can anyone help? I get the “ this would be a good area to prep” prompt but still don’t have the option to redeem the diy for miles at my nook stop.
