Thank you for posting. As a student pilot I have really have learned a lot not only from observing you fly the plane but also observing your strict adherence to procedure. I admire your consistency. I now understand why we in medicine have adopted some of these standards from the aviation world prior to surgery (time out, debrief after every procedure )

Good morning Steve. I would be willing to bet that a majority of pilots do not take the time to sit and review the "engine failure after takeoff" procedure very often. We are human and we just do not think it will happen to us. But if anyone gets to spend time in a simulator it WILL happen and it will get their attention in a hurry. Your plane is in great condition, you fly a lot but you still take time to review the details (out loud) before take off so they are fresh in your mind. I admire your attention to detail.

Excellent videos! I really appreciated that you shared your worst 10 minutes. Learning where some pilots make mistakes is as important as observing the things they do well. Thanks for sharing this prep vid with us! I was surprised to see how helpful ATC was. I figured he would just tell you "SBAP12" and you would have to figure it out. It was really cool that he gave you all of the fixes with literally no drama. Thanks to vids like these I think I will be so much better prepared when I start my lessons this fall.
