The possibility of Poor Things walking away with nothing is insane to me.

Great vid. The narratives is carrying a lot of these predictions versus the actual performance

I’m rooting for my top 3 movies of 2023
1. Oppenheimer
2. Godzilla: Minus One
3. Spider-Man: Across the Spider-verse

Let’s go!!!

*Also, I hope the Oscars remember to add Akira Toriyama the creator of the Dragon Ball franchise to the “in Memoriam “ section.
That franchise meant soooo much to sooo many people.

Michael B Jordan himself says that he’s a big fan of Dragon Ball Z.

Poor Things is my favorite but whatever they pick (Oppenheimer) will probably be good too unless its Maestro

Yeah Gladstone is good and all. But honestly if it doesn’t go to Stone on the day I’ll feel a little hurt (I’d consider her the best performance of the whole year)

If Poor Things wins nothing, it’ll join The Turning Point and The Color Purple for most nominations without a win. All three films has 11 nominations.

Great predictions. Quick and nicely presented! I have a Barbie upset in adapted. I think a lot of voters will vote for American Fiction and Oppenheimer, and there is a slight chance for Barbie. Great Gerwig and Noah Baumbach's name are on the ballots. Maybe it will be the shocking upset?

I have the same predictions as you with the exception for VFX (I've got The Creator) and animated (I'm going on a gamble on Boy and the Heron, but NOT confident in it. It's a dumb gamble).

i’m rooting for anatomy and past lives in director/picture/screenplay lineup even though j know it won’t happen just because they’re more understated and aren’t frontrunners even though they’re easily my favorite films of the year

I personally don’t understand why Lily Gladstone is best actress when her role was a supporting one and she wasn’t the main focal point of the movie!🤷🏾‍♀️

What makes me doubt of American Fiction in screenplay just a little is that even people from the industry where calling snub on Greta not getting director and that this controversy makes the votes lead to Barbie as a "remedy"

Bradley Cooper will be the biggest looser of the night. The portrayal of Bernstein in Maestro is sickeningly false. It's based on Bernstein's children, who have no idea what he was doing to damage classical music. I posted a video on my YouTube channel titled THE BERNSTEIN EFFECT that explains the collateral damage he caused to the arts. I studied with one of his friends, Ivan Davis, who also performed with him. I know other gay friends of his who tell a completely different story than is told in this movie. In both of my videos, I document how he ruined the way symphonies and concertos are performed. His teachings eliminated the development of processing variables in bigger and bigger batches, which destroyed the intellectual development of conductors, pianists and composers. This destroyed classical music as an art form and a business. Most of the classical recordings are now vanity records. Bernstein was a toxic force in the arts. Bad movie = bad night at the Oscars
