American Fiction is fantastic, and Sterling K Brown is great in it. RDJ is winning the award, though.

Also, Michael Cera is the best part of Barbie. Team Allen!

And remember that Denzel won SAG against Casey Affleck, but Casey in the end won the Oscar, so it still could happen for Emma .

Sue, your rambles make perfect sense. Let's just say it: If Lily Gladstone wins the Oscar this year it's because of narrative and political/sociological history-making. If the Academy doesn't give Emma Stone the Oscar for that performance, they did not do their job to look at the quality of acting craft and they should be ashamed of themselves.

If Best Actor and Best Actress categories were combined I would still vote for Emma Stone over Paul Giamatti, Cillian Murphy, and Jeffrey Wright. She artistically hit the ball out of the ballpark with her incredible performance.

Stone should win hands down but the Oscar's want to be diverse so Lilly is definitely going to win.

I did not like or enjoy Barbie at all. It was a great disappointment. I don't want Barbie to win any Academy Awards. Barbie should not even be nominated for best picture. Period. That's my view. Thank you for your predictions Sue.

I'm sorry Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse should have been nominated for Best Picture. It had everything visual, soundtrack, voice acting, best directors, best storyline, best animation. Hell, it had the best audience reaction and yes I saw Oppenheimer and the audience was silent. People were clapping and people were in awe when the movie was over they wanted more Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse.

I used to love watching the Oscars. Since i live in Europe i had to watch it in the middle of the night which i always did and liked every moment of it. The last 5 to 10 years my interest has faded since the Academy is now all about politics and i find that boring so never watched it again. I think Oppenheimer will walk away with most of the important awards but for the life of me i don't get all the fuss. I saw it in theaters and i found the movie to be very boring....way too much dialog and way too long. I gave it a second change watching it at home but my opinion hasn't changed.
Anyway i will read on Monday who won and then i'll move on 😇
