I think this can only be solved if the state forces companies to behave. The general public won't stop buying sweatshop clothes as long as it's cheap.

Nothing wrong with being preachy and encouraging living minimally. A £40 T-shirt seems expensive next to a £2.50 T-shirt. If people who run companies didn't try and hit rock bottom prices, and encourage spending, a £40 T-shirt that lasts years seems like a good purchase in the end.

This was something different. Since I live in a country where we don't have a Primark, I didn't even know these problems existed. I know it, but I didn't know it was this bad.

All my shirts are from Primark which I've had for years maybe mine were the exception

I would argue that they clothes won't stand even one wash. I have plenty of clothes bought there which I was wearing for a couple of years actually. But the fact that they are so unethical doesn't make me want to return there.

huh, we don't really have primark here but I thrifted some stuff with their label and it's fine. Like, the quality is normal, will probably last 10 more years. Is the drop in quality something new?
