I got the same prediction. But I’ve been on the Butler train since Elvis came out. I saw the performance and I immediately knew, he might win this.

Butler for the win. He nailed Elvis. Even the Presley family supported. Elvis is a huge role to fill.
Its an award for Best Acting not an award for best Comeback. Or who is the nicest guy.

I'm going with Austin. I think people overblow how much the Oscars love a good narrative, they have been denying narratives time and time again in recent years (Boseman, Close, Mulligan, etc.) and I think the Best Picture stat is too strong. Not to mention there's only been one year in the 21st century where they haven't given it to at least one biopic performance.

For me, Austin Butler deserves the Oscar. He brings a lot to the table. It's almost impossible to portrays Elvis Presley but Austin Butler did it wonderfully.
I'm a Brendan Frazer fan since I was 6 but this movie didn't touch me. Of course, he played well, very well but a nomination is enough.

The entire story before, during and after the Elvis Movie is beautiful -- Austin Butler and his phenominal team! He has a beautiful story in and of himself. Baz Lurhman is brilliant and this Movie and cast has rejuvenated my love for a happy story which is needed in this world today.

I think you’ve missed out a major point…Lisa-Marie Presley’s recent passing…she was so supportive of Austin and the film and that combined with the fact that Elvis never won a major award for his film work would make the Oscar win for Butler an even better comeback story than Fraser’s!!

I've never been so divided on a best actor till this year. I'm going Austin Butler just a hair over Brendan Fraser. Brendan Fraser was absolutely fantastic but Austin Butler blew me away! I usually have a front-runner I'm rooting for and maybe one or two backups but this year it's just so close between those two. I'm going to be happy but also sad for who doesn't win cuz they are both fantastic

Hmm, it's a close call. Both delivered Terrific performances, and I'd be happy if either of them won. But I might go with Brendan, since he gave such a powerful turn as Charlie, and a welcome comeback.
