I think the fact that you need to manually reset the game is a nice touch, it really does drive home that there isn't anything left to continue from.

I love how you have to exit the game and restart to continue playing. It really makes you feel as if you just created some sort of alternate timeline where the moon does in fact end up crashing into Termina.

You know a Nintendo game is serious when YOU HAVE TO USE THE HOME MENU TO RESET

For some reason this is really painful for me to watch. I know it's just a game but hell, I have sort of an attachment to Termina after playing this game. I hate seeing everything get demolished like that and the thought that if you don't succeed everything and everyone will be destroyed. Gone. It really messes me up how terrified everyone is, lovers who will never be reunited, people with aspirations, children... And how painful it would be for Link to have tried his hardest and still be unable to save them all. Everything you've done up to this point, for nothing. I know this isn't technically an adult game, but I still think it has mature, deep undertones that will f with you the older you are. What a sad moment.

The fact that the moon crash actually sort of kicks you out of the game, in a way. Damn, nicely done.

Last time this many people were joking about this scene was December 20th, 2012...

One thing I quickly noticed was how at 3 AM the stars don't disappear and at 4 AM it doesn't start to becoming daylight like how it did in the original N64 version, to me it definitely makes it feel a lot darker than before, considering. Yeah, there's no sign of the day after it unless Link stops Majora and the Moon. I tend to observe details like these...

Kind of scary when you pan the camera up at the last second and the angry moon is RIGHT THERE! Even in the 64 version it didn't seem that close in the final seconds, unless you were on top of the clock tower

One black screen and white text... ONE SCREEN. I about lost it when I saw that. I don't know how, but that statement of an angry moon and anhilation was fucking terrifying. I always assumed everything was okay. Somehow, even if the moon fell, you'd just turn up in the clock tower again. Back to before, sure, but of no great consequence.
This...? No. Termina is fucking gone. Its been destroyed. Ground zero. Nothing left. Majora wins. GAME OVER MAN, GAME OVER

This game scared me SO MUCH as a kid! And since English isn’t my first language I never understood what I was supposed to do, so I had to watch the moon destroy everything over and over again until I gave up. 😆

The moon crashing is bad in all, but I'm mainly sad about the dog in clock town getting dead.

This one's for you, people who think Nintendo is for little kids.

It took me a second look to see that fucking Moon IS GRINNING WHILE ITS DESTROYING CLOCKTOWN

I like this 3Ds version it's more apocalyptic more of dooms day scenario and also the sounds amazing more apocalyptic and better then the N64 version as I heard more sounds of distraction as the three sections of clock tower fell off in the 3Ds

I love the text at the end. Like, no shit Sherlock, you think? I'd have never figured out the moon killed everyone from that really subtle minute-long cutscene of death and destruction alone.
