Earthquake rattles parts of Mass., New England

A 3.8 magnitude earthquake off the coast of Maine was felt across parts of Massachusetts and New England, causing brief but noticeable tremors.

We still have some time before these events. It is very important to start unloading the tectonic plates to prevent strong earthquakes before it's too late.

I was living near LA during the Northridge earthquake back in 94. It was a jolt and then my house started shaking violently for about half a minute or so. Let’s hope this is a bad as it gets.

My daughter called me from Mechanic Falls, Maine right after it happened and said she felt the earthquake. I live in Southeastern, Massachusetts.

yes i knew it, here in maine (midcoast area) where i live my f'n trailer started shaking weirdly, i was telling my oldest who lives 10 mins from me in the same town (bowdoinham) what was going one, she thought it was the wind, i go no because i have gotten 60-80 mph wind thru and my trailer barely moves...i knew it thank you for confirming my suspicion. so yeah we are south of augusta. the (2nd one in my lifetime) the epicenter was like in dresden maine, felt it, went right thru my trailer, shifted it, which isn't so much leveled like it was (minor damages) and VERY LOUD. so this one will be my 3rd the first one i felt is was when i was a teen and was in freeport at that time my sisters and i were visiting our father, we were all sitting at the kitchen table playing card when the house shook. my stepmother thought it was s d warran in westbrook that blew up, nope next day we learned it was an earthquake

Wow. How often do we get earthquakes? Not too often. I guess the earth is starting to wobble because of the moon moving further away every year. Kind of trippy.

I'm in Portsmouth, NH and first thought it was my furnace or dump truck being weird picking up my trash
