HIV, AIDS... That new to me. Full breed Nigerian and a true Lagosian to my bones. I can tell you a lot of them are healthy. They have school there, church, and bars and shops there. I don't know why they decided to live there (maybe because it is also a fishing village), but I can tell you they thrive there. I have met people who live there and asked why they choose to live there because most of them are not broke. They can afford to live else where.

The answer I get is: it is home.

Most people won't go there simply because it's dirty. I can tell you it's peaceful and they live in houses like a normal family unlike some slums in the US.

Do your research. Africa is not some back water country. Do your research, it's vexing when you say rubbish just for content.
