Y don't I have the automatic detection option after I hit settings? It only shows set pin and link key which did to both but only one key on my 23 bmw x1

Can you put a little more effort into these videos so they are not a waste of time?

I have a loaded (so not missing relevant features like Comfort Access) 2024 M240i. No available software updates, and it does not have this option. It may be a case of iDrive 8 vs. 8.5 or 9, maybe something else? But this very basic and relevant detail is what needs to be included when apparently not all current BMWs have it.

That is my exact car, but again the feature is missing that I (with my narrow garage) could use. This one might be a market this (only Europe for some reason?) But again, the relevant detail you don’t bother with, so your posts are nothing but aggravation.

I’ve owned Cadillac, Lexus and now a BMW and BMW has to be the most far behind as far as comparability, customer ease of use, amenities that fall short of any high end brand. Never again BMW. Why wouldn’t this be automatic? Ridiculous

Waste of my time... I clicked the link of this video from my bmw app... In my new bmw car (2024) this steps cannot be done.
