Season 5 ended in 1997 so it’ll most likely start with Diana’s death (that’ll be offscreen tho) and it goes through to the early 2000s so at some point, we’ll probably also see the deaths of Princess Margaret and the Queen Mother

I think they'll handle Diana's death, SIMILARLY to how her wedding was done in Season 4. I picture audio recordings, and maybe some quick news flashbacks in black-and-white. Peter Morgan also directed the movie, "The Queen", though, which also covered her death. So, I don't think the two projects will play out in EXACTLY the same way. Also, with 9/11, I hope they recreate "Battle Hymn of the Republic", being played in Westminster Abbey. Just thinking of that moment gives me the sniffles. (12/8/2022)

9/11 has to be there. I remember my dad picking me up from primary school and on any other day let me play my ABBA tape. This day both towers went down 2 hours before my dad came to pick me up from school and he insisted on listening to the news on the radio as he was watching it on the news at home. I think most people who were old enough to be aware of the news (I was 10), even internationally, remembers where they were when they heard.
