Might as well do fbm & store our own inventory. It's less expensive. Members in my family do it with their own businesses ( not Amazon ). This all looks so complicated just to do.

Thank you for this incredibly insightful video, we have been trying to figure out all the fees so this helps! Do you have any new videos on inventory management?

Also, just a thought - you mention how storage fees are higher during Q4 and to properly plan so you don't have excess inventory. However, with our supplier, we realized they shut down for Chinese New Year so we'll probably need more inventory arriving in November/December to make up for that 1-2 month loss during the beginning of the following year. Thoughts on this?

It’s not 1/3 in most cases. It’s over 50%. They steal 50% of your revenue. If your COG is say $3 and you sell for $19.99 via FBA, your GP is barely $6. Not many products can have a COG of $3 with a selling price of $19.99. There are 2 groups making bank in this e-comm model, Amazon and China based sellers.

Thank you for your videos! I have several questions. I’ve been selling for about a year now. #1 is there any way to not be charged a removal fee when an item has to be removed due to customer damage? #2 How can sellers be better protected when Amazon loses or miscounts inventory? I have sent many packages that were triple counted and included a packing slip and they still claim 1-5 units are missing. It doesn’t happen all the time but it makes me super weary to send in large quantities of items, also if they claim items are missing can you get reimbursed for the new placement fee since it’s per unit? #4 do you know of any additional insurance sellers can buy when shipping items in the the FBA warehouse that protects us against “lost or damaged” items?

Great video--thank you. I'm wondering if you know where those "placement fees" show up on the unified transaction report in the payments dashboard? Meaning what are they labeled under? Being able to isolate those fees for analysis on whether turning that feature on and off would be nice to know for determining if speed is worth the extra LTL fee/shipment. Thanks in advance!

Why does FBA charge me fees in the individual account when I had to wait 3 weeks for Fba to add my inventory for sale. They charged me 6.55 when I first sent in shipment and now they charging me another 6.55 tomorrow. But since June 9th until now I was unable to sell anything because they took 3'weeks to stock inventory.
