Brown Butter Black Sesame Banana Bread Cake

Ah yes, my BBBSBBC! A mouthful of a recipe, but an absolute treat to make and eat. This easy, stunning, moist af banana cake recipe is streamlined so that it is the least possible effort for the highest possible reward.

Black sesame is the secret ingredient here, and I love what a punch this tiny ingredient packs. As a salt-head, I beg you not to skip the salt on top, it makes all the difference.

Here's a little hack I learned: when toasting black sesame seeds, add a few white sesame seeds. When the white seeds turn golden brown, you'll know the black sesame seeds are perfectly toasted.

I happened to have overripe bananas and black sesame seeds that needed using up so made this and took it to work. It was a MASSIVE hit. So moist and a really delicious sweet and savoury mix of flavours. Fantasic recipe! I couldn't find my springform pan so I baked mine in a rectangular pan and it was done a bit before 35min.
