b) is correct, but for equaton a) it is y = x - (5/2) and not y = -x - (5/2) since you divide -2x by -2 and not just by 2, (btw i use the parentheses to indicate what numbers are part of the division since i can't write it as a fraction) saying it cancels out for y but not for x is incorrect
