I have played this game for 10, 635 hours since 2008. I still remember the days where engineers could not pick up his buildings and heavy could drop his sandvich to instantly heal himself.

Saw a soldier with 24k hours in tf2. That's 3 years. He said "yeah but like 17k of that is trading."

His back pack was worth 19k. Which sounds great but that's an average yearly salary. His account is 14 years old

I accumulated like 2.4k hours in the 2 yrs i played that game. Tbh i would say it is probably one of the most influential games of my life. Mentally saved me at a very turbulent time of my life and kept me fully stimulated the whole time. Such a complex game which required good teamwork and incredible understanding of loadouts/ playstyles that made the game content feel almost unlimited. Plus the incredible character/ universe building they did by creating background videos for each character while outlining their personality traits and quirks. The voice acting, the music, seasonal events, clothes/ item rarity, the weapon creativity, huge assortment of gamemodes and maps when factoring in the community. Even just how involved the community was creating fan videos and animated movies. Wow its nostalgic to think about it all again.

Recently crossed 1000 hours. Have been playing since the late summer of 2015. The only game I return to to this day. And with all this time spent I am really far from being really good at it. But it is lots of fun, which matters the most.

I stopped playing a few years ago, but I had around 4000+ hours, used to get called a cheater or hacker a lot ended up switching from a sniper and spy main to a medic and engi main.
I do miss playing it all the time I have even had dreams about it from time to time; but I can't play it anymore as I am a Mac user due to my line of work as a animator and illustrator.
