Create A Song in 10min | Music Production in Cubase AI and LE

Join Dom Sigalas for this tips and tricks video where he shows you around the many sound creating, instrument recording and MIDI programming features of Steinberg Cubase AI and Cubase LE for song creation and beat production. Dom looks at the Steinberg media bay, where loops and samples are accessed and you can drag and drop virtual instruments like HALion Sonic SE and Groove Agent SE into your project, with many sound presets to choose from. He then shows you how to create a 10 minute song with Groove Agent patterns, an 808 bass sample, adding the bitcrusher effect and chopper effect to a HALion SE preset and using the other great tools in Cubase to create a straightforward music workflow to an inspiring song. For creative music production, Cubase is the ideal music software for beginners and professionals alike.

Gahhh. This is dealing with a hurricane rather than a gentle breeze, uhh. I just purchased Yamaha's brand new AG06 Mk2 and Cubase AI is included. I've been using Cakewalk exclusively for a couple of years for recording my home-spun, home-sung recordings. :) My main purpose in exploring Cubase, is the difficulty with REVERB on Cakewalk. So on this video I was hoping to see a demo with a blank Cubase screen, create a vocal track, how to record, blah-blah. Ah, well; I'll look elsewhere, but better still, I think I'll just install Cubase and connect to the AG06 Mk2 and play/fool with it. One last thing: I've been using the EVO 8 interface but I can't use it freestanding; no use without my laptop. So I got the AG06 Mk2. What I love about the EVO 8 is how it sends out 4 USB channels (2 mono vocal and one stereo like for karaoke and covers) whereas we only get 2 USB channels with the AG06. It's OK, I'm sure we can have fun with the AG06 Mk2 too.
