About Asheville North Carolina

I am from Russia, Western Siberia to be exact (no, it’s not that bad ). My husband and I have lived
in Asheville since 2004 and absolutely love it here! In 2015 we became parents to a baby boy, Dmitry (named after my grandfather). And in January 2020 Dmitry became a big brother to Katya. We share our home with 2 dogs: Puma and Romeo, who are a pitbull and a jack russell (no, it’s not that bad 😆 ).
I am full time REALTOR® in Asheville, NC. With you need help finding a perfect home in the Asheville area, give me a call/text or email me:

I've been visiting Asheville since 2009 and want to make the jump to move there full time. As far as the lack of diversity goes, yeah Asheville isn't NYC, but it's also not the usual Hee Haw po-dunk convention out there like many other southern towns.

The freak flag is alive and well and that's what made me fall in love with Asheville in addition to the nature all around and the music scene. A big improvement over my native Fayetteville NC.

I love your channel. I'm now a subscriber.

My wife will be assigned there as a nurse and will be working in a hospital, i think the name was mission hospital. We are Filipinos from the Philippines. And i believe that there are few of us right there in asheville, a very small Filipino community. Your video was very informative and a heads up for me.

Nothing this native likes better than going everywhere in the snow!!!! Love it. Learned to drive in it as a teenager. Daddy was a mountain man!

It would be great if you could make your voice louder and the sound effects much quieter as they are out of balance on your interesting video.

If you move to Asheville your better off telling everyone you just got out of prison than moving from some other city, you'll be accepted better.
The traffic there is terrible good luck getting anywhere in rush hour

Just a note about the traffic, we just returned from a vacation, stayed in an Airbnb near the blue ridge parkway, traffic was terrible everywhere we went! Freeways were constantly congested and backed up due to construction, it was everywhere! Other than that, very beautiful to visit!

Great video! The only thing I am concerned with is the amount of development that is going on in this town. Seems like it is taking away the eclectic feel and beauty that Asheville is known for. The cost of living is also driving out the people that make this town so unique. I have heard that the new city council is trying to halt the amount of development taking place ...I am hoping that this is true. I really like this town and hope that it maintains a chill, artsy mountain town atmosphere.

I grew up in this part of NC, you are coming from a bigger city...I this is the first time seeing your video.... Asheville is an old town, with probably no intentions of doing major upgrades like sidewalks everywhere.... or playgrounds...when folks have yards for the kids to play I'm glad you put your disclaimer in there for folks to "decide for themselves"...

The biggest con of all is the poor quality healthcare. The great community Mission hospital system, built over 75 years, has been sold to HCA, , and has gone from one of the best hospitals in the country to one of the worst. Not worth it, retirees, keep looking

The traffic is TERRIBLE! They should have done something about traffic on Interstate 26 years and years ago. I’m sure the truckers hate Asheville when they come in and head to Tennessee! I live here an I stay off Interstate 26! We moved to Asheville in 1978 and a banker told us that part of your pay will be the scenery! What he was saying is you don’t make that much money but it sure is beautiful. Too many people now!

I have walked the streets of Asheville for years, I have never had a problem being unsafe. However, I live in Black Mountain. What a wonderful place to live!

It's rude to be sitting at a light holding everyone else up. We are two hours South of you and people do the same. Coming from Boston I'm having a hard time adjusting to the lack of self awareness in this area.

I live in Germany, have for decades. I grew up in Asheville however (Beaver Lake area). Playgrounds were NEVER an issue when I was a kid. Might have been a problem for my mom, but me? I was not bothered by the issue. Superb place to grow up...

Just visited for the first time in December, it was 70 degrees. Walked 30 plus miles in 4 days, loved the downtown.
