How to Keep Your Fireplace Clean and Safe

To prevent ash build up, you will need to sweep your fireplace clean at least once a week during cold months. Insure there are no hot coals remaining before any fireplace cleaning and always use proper protection during the cleaning. After cleaning your fireplace, thoroughly inspect the fireplace walls for cracks or other signs of wear.

I love your video...are the bricks inside the fireplace resistant to fire as I have taken out the old fireplace throat and the debris behind it to reveal a squared brick back like the one in your video.
