Our Cleanup Progress Offshore as System 002 Gets Bigger

Our offshore crew and System 002/C are on their way back to the Great Pacific Garbage Patch for the last trip before we deploy System 03.

When the first system was being prepared in San Francisco, CA I remember reading an article. Several environmental organizations were saying that it was not enough, it was not focusing on the right problem, they should do something else, this young man is deluded, etc. The rebuttal was pretty strong. The Ocean Cleanup was willing to tackle one aspect of the problem that is a massive, all hands on deck catastrophe that is only going to get worse otherwise. Other people are choosing to work on twenty different parts of the problem and it is all desperately needed. Prince William is helping with his Earthshot program and Sorted Foods on Youtube continuously talks about sustainability in farming practices and fishing, along with products that can take the place of plastic. It is all wonderfully encouraging and inspiring to show that small changes can add up to a tidal wave of progress. Best of wishes to all involved.
