This is an excellent explanation, thank you!
I changed my pinion from 10t to 15t and my ESC overheated. Then I dropped it to 13t but I think I installed it a little far and it stripped the plastic spur gear.
What do you think about steel spur gear? If I understood my Traxxas Rustler manual correctly it looks like that the steel spur is only recommended with a centre diff on my car...
