No song this week but here are some problems with being an only child and having no siblings and forever hoping people don't accuse you of having only child syndrome.

HI EVERYONE i just wanted to say that this is over-exaggerated. There are many blessings that come with being an only child too. I definitely would not have many of the things I have had I not been an only child and I am v grateful for what I have.

Being the only child can be good at times. It nice getting all the attention and approval from mom or dad or the person who care for you . However, the bad side as you know is having tons of lonely days and nights with no one to have a connection with, secretive scare to express real feeling to others, withdrawn being uncomfortable in small or big groups, having somewhat a lack of people skills. Being the only child can turn someone to a narcissist. Because, you get so use to being in the spot light bad or good. Greatly I had many cousins and decent friends in my life . To have fun with... One thing i value about being the only child. I don't fear being alone... However, it still sucks..

I always cry at night because I keep dreaming about not having a sibling and I am sick and tired of being the only one and all my cousins that are boys and one of them say that I have to learn to play by myself but I always do that its just so sad😭😭😭

I'm an only child to my mom but I have half sister and half brother they're 30 and 21 y.o. It's so annoying cause basically I see them once a year and I never felt that I have siblings but when the good side about having no siblings comes my siblings always have to ruin it for me. My brother already took my parents car so I have to make my own money and buy one, my dad always gives stuffs to my older siblings cause they're 'Responsible' and I'm that kid who takes their old stuffs It's So annoying I wish if I had Siblings cause I don't feel like I have At ALL.

When i was 5 years old my father took me from my mother with her conscent, to live with him and his new wife.
It quickly bacame apparent to me that she took an instant dislike to me, more like hatered. She had four children of her own. Anyway the abuse started off almost immediately making me stand in the corner of the room facing the wall for absolutely no reason that a five year old child would understand anyway. The days went on with low level mental abuse, well to a five year old boy it was devastating. My father was a long distant driver so all this abuse took place when he was out, but he could see that I was unhappy there. So her four children started to bully me and attacked me in the house. They had a dog that use to nip me, and they would all just laugh. I started to hear her mother say to her, "Why don't you just dump him somewhere." So after a year of mental tourment at the hands of everyone in that house, she finally decided to take her mothers advice and dump me on the street I was only 6 years. So Social services placed me with a foster family but after a year the moved me to a children's home. That was a blow to me because I became part of a loving family. When I was 8 years old they moved me to another children's gome where I stayed for 8 years. I left the children's home when I was 16, then they moved me to another children's home for a year, then when I was 17 they moved me to an half way house to get me use to an independant life. I left the care system as I went in feeling alone, worried, & affraid. Of course i have not put every awful experience in this post. Thank

Honestly I know it costs more to have two kids but parents should really think about having more than one because being an only child gets really depressing

1:07, i felt that. There is only 1 other only child in my class, so i want to be her friend to complain about it together but im socially awkward so i will freak out if i try. My friends dont get me, they all have 1-4 siblings, so when they complain about them i say, "I'll take one", and they look at me like a phsycopath for thinking that they are cute. I do have a lot of cousins though, i only like 3-5 of them though, others forget about me most of the time, and another always wacks the back of my head and it really hurts... I feel like i relate to some things siblings say because of them but not most

I am a only child and I hate being stereotyped a lot. I get called lonely, spoiled and unsociable. My mum is a only child too and I asked her why I was a only child and she said she would have liked more but couldn't have more as she was married late. My dad however was one of three and I have cousins on that side. One boy cousin and one girl cousin. I did have a dog growing up.
