Thank you for teaching me the term, Task Switching. I have never believed in multi-tasking because, as you have explained, you can't actually do two (parallel cognitive) activities at the same time. I do, however, do not focus on one thing for a long time. Several years ago, I learned that attention span is no greater than 15 minutes. It is shorter in children, and as we grow, it gets longer until we get into adulthood and stops at 15 minutes. I thought it might be valid due to a number of things, including the famous Ted Talks, which are 15 minutes. So, I work hard on one thing for a minimum of 15 minutes. Then, if I feel lethargic or lose interest, I switch. I would need help extending focus. Thanks for posting for the topic is very interesting.

I Vouched this explanation. This is so through and believe it once you experience it and understand.

I use listening to the same song lists over and over to distract part of my brain when I do creative writing, the Creation part, not the editing which is frequently done in silence. Also during writing mode, I eat. I went through numerous delivered Jimmy John while living/in my developing story. 😂
