Because of his stoicism Zoro is easily missed as someone who is always watching and cares about what is happening around him. He is fundamentally a good person, just like the rest of the crew. Zoro doesn't get angry for no reason, he does, however, have the power and capacity to fix wrongs. Him and Luffy really are the perfect pair.

What Orochi did to these people is one of the most sinister things I’ve seen in any work of fiction. He wasn’t very strong but he was truly a villainously conniving villain in that regard.
