How did zoro beat the legendary Ryuma . Shimotsuki Ryuma is a renowned swordsman hailing from the Land of Wano, who is credited with saving his country by defeating a dragon. He is the proud owner of the famous sword, Shusui, which is a national treasure of the Land of Wano. However, during the Thriller Bark arc, Gecko Moria stole Ryuma's corpse and reanimated it by infusing it with the soul of Brook. Consequently, Ryuma's fighting style became more like Brook's. Thus, when Zoro battled against Ryuma, he faced a weakened version of the legendary swordsman, who was not at his full strength. In other words, the reanimated Ryuma was not the original Ryuma, and Zoro would have had a difficult time defeating the true Ryuma in the Thriller Bark arc.
