Hang up - to end a phone call
Call back - to return a phone call
Pick up - to answer a phone call
Call up - to make a phone call
Ring off - to end a phone call, often abruptly
Put through - to connect somebody by phone
Hold on - to wait on the phone for a short time
Get off - to end a phone conversation in a polite way
Speak up - to talk louder on the phone
Break up - to experience poor phone signal or a bad connection.

The expressions busy signal or engaged signal are useful phrases too, they aren't p. verbs
