(α+β)^3=α^3+β^3+3αβ(α+β)
Now find the product αβ using this.
1=7+3αβ
You get αβ=-2

Hint: In the equation x^2-bx+c=0, b is sum of roots and c is the product of the roots.

By hit and trial we know that (-1) + 2 = 1
And (-1)³ + 2³ = 7
Hence alpha = -1 and beta = 2
So, x²-x -2 = 0

(a+b)³= a³+b³+3ab(a+b) ×

Ok i don't know any of this alpha ir beta thing
However the way i tried to solve with trail method
First i assumed a= 2 and b = -1
(2)Cube + (-1) cube = 7
2-1 = 1
So
x×x- x-2
4-2-2 = 0
Am i right ?

I think vieta's jumping formula will be better were in the equation ax²+bx+c
-b/c=x1+x2 now we know that x1=a and x2=b so x1+x2=1 so -b=c that will be a

First u have to do cube in both sides then need to put values and alpha times beta will be -2 and product of roots is c by a so x2-x-2 = 0 is the correct answer
Otherwise u can put the values of alpha beta in every equation to see where it stands zero
