Hi, after seven years this video is still inspiring people!--Me I'm knitting my first-ever cardigan using this tutorial and just put the sleeves on hold. I watched four times before working the row to separate the sleeves! Thank you so much for moving me forward in my knitting journey! I learned to knit to make cardigans, and it feels great to finally be knitting one. I'll be looking for another tutorial for my next cardi. I appreciate your well-thought-out instruction videos and have viewed many of your others to learn techniques. I think you are the best!

PS. Staci, I have to say your hands are so elegant and your manicure always impeccable! Thank you for being the classy lady you are. I really enjoy watching the graceful and rhythmic dance of your hands as you knit. 🎶🧶

Your version of the sweater is SOoooo much prettier than the pattern photo! I’m going to try this! I’ve been so hesitant to attempt a sweater, but you make this look doable and it’s lovely!
Thank you so much.

Knitting is supposed to be fun in my life. I appreciate your relaxed manner for a basic sweater.

Robin Gilmore - there is no need to decrease, you can knit the body with any number of stitches.

Staci - I've knit a lot of projects, but never a fitted one, because I was a bit (OK - a LOT) intimidated. You absolutely took the mystery out of this, and I'm very excited to knit my first cardigan. Thank you so much for your tutorials! I've also just started watching your KC tutorials, and they're wonderful, too.

Finally, now I understand! As a visual learner this has taken the mystery out of top down sweaters! Thank you!

I just finished knitting this sweater. And I have been knitting for a lot of years but oh how I so appreciate your instructions on how to pick up stitches for the band and how to sew up the under arm seams. Who says you can’t teach an old dog. Thank you so much.

I've been searching for about a month now for a detailed tutorial on a cardigan. I knew I should've sought you out first. I wasted my time with the other tutorial. This was perfect! Thank you so much. I have so much yarn that I need to use...yes, just to purchase more, but that's how it is :D

Staci, I just wanted to let you know that I've now got the body of the cardi done and am working on the sleeves. I taught myself to knit exactly one year ago so this is my first sweater. I'm so excited about this sweater, I had to tell you how helpful your videos are and have been during this process. Thanks so much.

You are an excellent teacher! I’ve become a more confident knitter and branched out to try more complicated projects because of all I’ve learned from you. Thank you. This is definitely your gift to our world! 🙏🏻🧶🥰

Thank you so much! I am getting more comfortable with reading patterns. But I always come to your videos when I need to fill in the gaps with a visual.

Thank you so much. As I began knitting again (in my retirement) I started with your dishcloths and went on to fingerless gloves, scarves, boot cuffs and hats. I can't knit fast enough for all the grandkids. I am now ready for a sweater! This is the one.

I love your videos. I noticed that this pattern has a drawing of the sweater pieces. I always see those in patterns but I'm not sure I know what I'm looking at! Maybe one day you could walk us through one of those patterns and explain what we are seeing. Thank you so much for all your help and your very well made videos!

I'm in love with you. This is going to be my first sweater, and my first pattern! I normally like to figure out my own patterns from learnt techniques, so that I get exactly what I want and don't have to decipher strange pattern hieroglyphics. But your videos are so clear and this sweater is lovely! I think I'll be able to follow along just fine
