The Shorekeeper and Youhu suddenly got revealed out of nowhere, presumably for Version 1.3 -- and Version 1.2 isn't even out yet.

I actually appreciate getting new four stars, it's a nice change of pace after new five stars back to back and they might not be stronger than the five stars characters, they can be fun to use and Kuro do this with PGR where the S rank characters are stronger than the A rank but the A rank themselves are quite fun to play with.

Theories
1. Perhaps Rover in the past founded the Black Shores (i forgot if this was said in game) and appointed The Shorekeeper to oversee it, giving her immortality of some kind to prevent her aging
2. Going off the previous theory, The Shorekeeper and Youhu could be related, either closely or distant relatives depending on how long The Shorekeeper has been immortal
3. Youhu's ice is potentially freezing over her body due to her lack of control over it, this could lead her to interact with Changli who also struggled with her Forte in a similar way

I automatically liked Shorekeeper because of her design. It reminds me of Sophia from Lies of P, my favourite game of all time. They are still following their base inspiration, the souls genre. Now I just want the blue butterfly to be really, really prominent in both lore and her playstyle. Anyways, a really great breakdown!

What strikes me is that Shorekeepers eyes, pupils similar to the giant threnodian eye from the fight with Dreamless, Shorekeeper also has this purple eye that has 2 cuts in it and the iris at the center.
And since 1.1 I keep noticing that Rover also has some weird eye activities in lobby screen when we log in the game and when they interact with the things from the past
