I've recently decided to start my own YouTube channel, but I know nothing about iMovie, or editing in general. This tutorial literally assuaged any anxiety I had about starting!! Thank you so much for putting this up!

I realize this tutorial was posted years ago but honestly it helped me so much. I have like a week to put together a promo video for an art show I am doing and everyone else's tutorials were so ponderous or just gliding over things quickly but you put things into a very understandable way with a good sense of humor. I thank you.

This is by far the simplest and best tutorial for I-Movie. I can't tell you how incredibly helpful this is!!!

How to create an animation project in iMovie:

1. Draw something (either in book creator or paper)

2. Take a photo of that drawing (screenshot for book creator)

3. Save a photo that would be after the animation

4. Go to iMovie

5. Add frames and photos of the animation in iMovie and then add a photo that would be more than 30 seconds

6. Save the iMovie video

7. Create a new project in iMovie

8. Add that video into this new project and speed the video up

9. Save the video again

10. Repeat what I said at 6, 7 and 8 until you finally get the animation at the speed that you would normally see at cartoons (Really fast)

(Well done, you created your animation project in iMovie)

Dude this was the MOST helpful, YT is overflown with videos that make things complicated, YOUR video gives the basic needs for editing that I was looking for! Thanks

Good video Kevin, very helpful thank you. If I may add one thing I hope it will add value.
This may help some viewers:
At 2:03 If the Youtube player controls are visible on screen you cannot see the "Import" button on the bottom right of the screen so it looks like Mr. Briggs selects the files and says import files & wala its magic now they are imported! Mac Magic, well he is actually clicking on the Import button on the bottom right which may be hidden by the Youtube playback controls. Also if you are importing all the files in the folder you dont have to select anything just click the Import All button on the bottom right side of the screen. The import button is a soft button meaning it changes function depending file selection. Hope this helps.
