Is the Lexus LFA V10 Overrated?

The Lexus LFA V10 is highly viewed by the car community. Some think it's overrated, but here's why it's not.

It’s important to note that Lexus didn’t mainly work with the Motorsport division of Yamaha to make this engine and car, it was the ACOUSTIC division which is what made it sound so insane even from inside the car

Definitely not overrated, it's underrated and it's a marvel of an automobile released just after the GT-R which is a shame. Just imagine if the tables were turned....

I can tell Yamaha helped make the Lexus v10. Yamaha loves high revving motors, that’s why all their dirt bikes rev so high with their 2 strokes. The high revving is Yamaha’s distinct to that v10. ❤

The LFA isn’t a terrible car to put it bluntly, it’s just not the best to me.
Let me put it this way, I like cars with a manual transmission, and fast cars, and those with a raspy V12 sound like the Pagani Zonda for example.
The LFA isn’t the best car for the price.
It’s not the best car to me, it may be the holy grail of a car to some people, but not to me🤷🏽‍♂️

Why Toyota hasn't used this powertrain to power other F models is beyond me! What made this car really expensive was all of the carbon fiber embedded into its structure, chassis, panels, suspension, etc. The powertrain itself wasn't an onerous cost and Lexus could've rolled out a detuned version into something like the LC500/LS500. Sure, fuel consumption, CAFE requirements, etc. but a turbo V8 wouldn't be any more fuel efficient than this V10! And would nowhere near have THAT SOUND!!!

Great engine but "no major issues reported by it's owners" is probably because a lot of them are garage queens and not driven much, there's also very few of them to take as a sample. Would have been great if you included the sound in the video.

The Lexus LFA is the most overrated and overvalued car in todays market
