Here’s how to avoid snowboard pain, ski for years so you have a deep loathing of the feeling of ski boots, then switch. You will not have any problems with snowboard boots.

I tried snowboarding recently and all i gotta say is that snowboard boots are much much much more comfy than ski boots. + snowboarding is hella fun

Some boots can be custom fitted. You get them to put the liners in the boot oven in the shop and then you put the liners in the boots and crank them down on your feet for a while. Some shops have special kits to put spacers on your toes and pads on your pressure points. Game changer!

Skiier here, wearing in the store for 30 minutes doesn’t do much but identify relative size and to a slight extent, pressure points, walking around in the 70 degree store is very different from being locked into your binding on a 25 degree mountain.

Pull the stock foot beds out. Stand on them to make sure your feet fill the whole footbed. Put foot beds back in, put boots on. Make sure you feel the liner in the tips of your toes. Buy the boots as well as aftermarket foot beds with arch support. Heat mold as last resort.

I recently got some burton photons that gave me heel/ankle pain after a day of riding. But I had them heat molded and now they are super comfortable with no pressure points

At the end I though he would say “and most importantly, I got them for half price” lmao

As a skier that recently switched to snowboarding, I can confirm that I have never heard of foot pain from snowboard boots.

WEAR THEM AROUND THE HOUSE. Save your money. Mine are broke in before I even hit the slopes.

I really needed this. My snowboarding boots are awful and crushed my feet.

Comfort, security, and ease of use make the Boa system unmatched.

I did the same thing with my tracers and I ended up with hot spots just above my ankle bone where the boot creases. But after 5 days of riding and hearing the boots up to wear them in, they relaxed enough to not hurt anymore.

Boas are the best thing to ever be invented. Even my work boots have a Boa system.

I have boots that my toes just barely touch the end.. most horrible thing I’ve ever experienced. Toes getting crunched into the end of the boot when I was toe side.. bought slightly bigger ones. No issue
