CSX Coal Train Driver Can't Wait For Gates To Go Up

This is a video I made in Tampa Florida of a CSX coal train going through a crossing. After the train passes a vehicle can't wait just seconds for the gates to raise and goes around them.

What was going through that driver's mind when the driver decided to go around the gates rather than wait? Was the driver in a hurry to be somewhere? Even though the train passed, there are two tracks and another train could have been coming on the other track!

Someday, a motorist's decision to disregard railroad crossing signals will cost the motorist plenty - in fact, a motorist's life. After all, I choose to live over being in a hurry to be somewhere on time.

That was a multi-track crossing. What if another train was coming? That fool would have been dead.

You should, whenever possible, try to get license plate info on these cars so that the police can administer justice.

Can you blame him ?  a hundred car train  snailpacing along while the driver sits with his thumb up his butt, and then the stupid gates take forever to get out of his way ?  Besides I have many times seen gates that stay down long after the train is gone and forgotten.  Rail crossings may be a way of life for the nutters who film these things, but most of us actually have a life.
