I’m a die hard joy division fan, and this is a beautiful cover of my favourite song.

Interestingly, this is the only female vocals cover of Ceremony I've managed to find. Also the only one that can compete with Ian Curtis's and New Order's. Chromatics interpretation is also so unique. A definition of a perfect cover, so good that it begins to live its own life as a new song.

Like everything this band does, this cover is beautifully, painfully, hauntingly evocative. Dreamy melancholy. Dreamy sound. Dreamy look. We get transported, every time. In this softly-pulsing whisper of a rendition, Ian Curtis lives. (As does his Vox Phantom? But, seriously, wouldn't it be something if the one in the photo, which someone else here pointed out, was, in fact, his? I wonder what happened to it.) Perfection. Kudos all around.
