Lower Decks is the greatest thing to happen to Star Trek since Next Generation.

The order of importance is Original Series, The Movie, Next Generation, Lower Decks... Whatever else.

This isn't to say these are the best Star Trek products, just the most important.

Obviously there is no Trek without the original. The Movie proved that there was an audience and built more audience. Next Gen proved it could return to TV with new people and be a success. Lower Decks proved the universe could be host to more than just Sci-Fi drama.

Put those episodes on Arweave. They'll be there for 200 years. No, really. For real. It's world changing.

All the new stuff is garbage. They know it was garbage and had to start dredging up old cannon to keep the shows from collapsing period. Discovery did it when they brought in originals. Picard brought back Seven, the Q, and the Borg to keep fans.

Star Trek was once great, but so was Star

These two men miss the main reason that Star Trek lives on. Gene Roddenbury’s original ideas that created this program haven’t changed. Elon musk and the needed adaptation of his landing rockets upright is a major step to the future. More nations have space flight programs but they can’t see that pooling their resources would help them all. Star Trek is tremendous entertainment for the imagination. It lets you see that anything is possible. In an episode of young Shelton the genius little boy does the needed math for the space flight program. Thank god Elon Musk is shown reading his notebook.
