We've been needing a good mod that expands upon oceans, especially now with the deeper caves. Especially biomes and features (dark trenches, salt lakes, smoking vents etc), there are so many possibilities!!

One of my favourite texture packs, which was a little broken last I checked is the Beautiful texture pack, which adds glowing seeds to kelp like in subnautica

An idea to make oceans deeper: have layers, each layer being a new dimension on its own depending on how deep you go
