When anything is abstracted out and made into a single interface, irrespective of the implementation, then we will loose the ability to use lot of functionalities and customizations that are needed and will be limited to only the most basic things.

Just imagine that you use the same SDK to interact with Redis and MongoDB, the SDK would have soo less functionality. Limited to maybe CRUDL. Anyfunctionality that is specific to redis or monogoDB is lost.

Seems like a project which will be useful for very specific cases or for personal/simple projects.
