Heavy rain and thunder are always the best natural sound for relaxing and having a deep sleep. Focus listening and you will fall asleep immediately.

For people who can't sleep, follow these steps.

1 - Have a standard time to go to sleep (mine is 23:00 at night until 06:00 in the morning).

2 - As soon as you wake up, expose yourself to light (you don't need to be exposed to the sun, but sunlight) for a period of at least 40 minutes. Why do that? If you wake up and remain in the dark and only expose yourself to sunlight after a few hours after waking up, your brain will understand that you only actually woke up when you were exposed to the sun. Incredibly, this is one of the things that most causes insomnia in people around the world.

3-Have a faithful routine! This goes back to the first step, where you have to have an "X" time to sleep and wake up. But this is not only for bedtime, but also for other things, such as: time to have breakfast, time to have lunch, time to shower, time to study, time for leisure things, etc. . Educating your brain is of paramount importance for you to have a great night's sleep.

4 - Avoid caffeine after 3:30 pm. Because? Caffeine is a drug that affects your central nervous system (caffeine has effects similar to cocaine, but its effect is weaker) putting your brain on alert. It is for this reason that coffee was introduced as a standard morning drink to actually stay awake. One hour before bed, avoid loud music, action movies and agitation. Read a book with a calm story, or even a movie or series with a calm story. At night, use the night filter on your smartphones, computers and televisions. Because? White light inhibits melatonin production. What is melatonin? Melatonin is a hormone naturally produced by the body (in the brain's pineal gland), which has the function of regulating the circadian cycle, stimulating sleep at the end of the day.

5 - The last step is the simplest of all. Play this video, but not with headphones. Because? Sound concentrated in your ears will disturb your sleep. I put the cell phone on the table next to the bed and leave the ambient sound. Avoid thoughts of concern and seek the calm that dwells within each of us.

During the Corona Virus pandemic and being ordered to stay at home has really stirred up a lot of anxiety, fear and insomnia. This has really helped me get through the nights. I love ❤ all of it! I get transported to this house set my favorite blanket & pillow right in front of the fireplace(had to move some chairs so I can lay down in front of fire place😉) close my eyes, listening to the rain I for that time forget the scary reality we are living during this pandemic.
