In the early 20th century, a 23 year-old Black woman developed the first effective treatment, but you've probably never heard of her. This is the little known story of the chemist who discovered the first successful treatment for Hansen's disease (leprosy), Alice Augusta Ball. Welcome to the #STEMLoft.
