To upgrade Hero Abilities or "Equipment" in Clash of Clans, players have to Collect Shiny, Glowy, and Starry Ore. As a Free 2 Play player in Clash, this is starting to feel like an impossible task because of how slow the collection process takes. They want us to be more active on clan wars for the ores but dont let us play our heroes while being upgraded.

Supercell should just make the heroes in clan war/league be available even if u upgrade them. The do the same by letting the defense be available even though u upgrade them...

push to legends instead, so you get maximum ores. Drop below 5000 by taking a defence but not enough to get demoted (4900). This will allow you to go into multiplayer battles (allows you to farm) and get the extra loot bonus. Shield lasts 8 hours? should be enough to go positive in 2 attacks. Titan 1 is good too if your not as active and need more leeway.

I would also suggest staying in titan 1 and pushing to legend whenever your daily bonus is about to activate. I’ve realized that at high town halls as a free to play player you are mostly just waiting on buildings to finish upgrading and farming isn’t that important because you will be able to get the resources easily before your 10 day plus upgrade is done. Just attack a few times per day and stay just below 5k and when you have the bonus available then push to legend league and don’t sign up because you have until 4900 to stay in so just remove your shield and wait to be raided and then drop as low as you can while staying in legend and then get your star bonus.

As a TH12 I’ve pushed up to Champs 3, and will probably try to slowly push all the way up to titans. Just no reason not to go as high as possible, more ore is always better.

Having to compete in clan wars to get starry ore is one of the worst decisions ive ever seen supercell make
It limits how players get to play the game and turns clash from a “play how you want” game to a “play how we want you to play”

3300 is the perfect trophy range in my opinion but i always buy all the glowy ore with raid medals every week. I see it as necessary

They should add all these things.
1. Add ore mine in builder base. They can make separate mine for each shiny, glowy & starry or in one mine only.
2. We should be able to buy ores with raid medals. They can make the deal just worth it. They shouldn't offer much value here. I'll explain.
3. Star bonus of builder base should also award ores.
With all these changes, players will be encouraged to play builder base even more & regularly.
I use raid medals to get my preferenced cc & left over to buy wall rings. It's significantly upgrades the walls. But now with these changes, I might shift toward ores instead of walls. So, in order not to make raid medals as main source of ores, they shouldn't give much value, but just worth it.

It's hard to do war if I gotta constantly upgrade my heroes it feels endless

I know the shorts old but for the month of July you can upgrade heroes AND use them in war or multiplayer attacks.
