I was bummed the cloud cover obscured the launch so quickly but was really happy with the animations and other models shown on screen when we watched it live! The interior camera lighting up so bright when the capsule shell separated was one of the most beautiful things I've ever seen. I check for updates several times a day. Thank you for this!

I don't know if the same thing happened to someone else, but I cried watching the Ariane 5 take off carrying James Webb

It's weird that literally every other channel has more current info on the JWST than the actual JWST channel 🤔

I managed to gain consciousness in time to watch this. It was in the early morning for me; and, I must say I felt the excitement of it; from the people shown to the launch.

Lots of people are showing "tracking of James Webb live:" None of them are accurate; you guys should do a live tracking of James Webb!

I was recently very surprised to learn that SOHO the solar and heliospheric observatory launched over 25 years ago is still going and only using 5kg of its 100kg fuel supply PER DECADE, and has the ability to probably go another ten years observing at the L1 point. Does JWST have the potential to go this long after its initial 10 year expected life, or is operation at the L2 point intrinsically more fuel consuming? Thx
